The House K-12 Education Finance Committee will be holding hearings around Minnesota on the 2008 Education Finance Reform bill, dubbed the "New Minnesota Miracle". Representative Mindy Greiling will chair these meetings.

The meeting closest to St. Louis Park will be in Hopkins on September 11th, at 7:00 p.m. Rm 215E Eisenhower Elementary; 1001 Highway 7. Click here for more info.

Tonight, in addition to the monthly open forum, a FY09 Budget Update and new Superintendant's FY09 Budget Recommendations are on the agenda, meaning we will hear which of the budget cuts originally recommended have so far been restored, and how this will be financed.

Additionally, next Monday, June 2, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., school board members will hold a "Listening Session", where members of the public are invited to speak with school board members in an informal dialogue.

This listening session will take place at the Senior High Room C350.
