I know of four kids who got rejection letters so far. I didn't call in yet but no letter as of so far. This may be good.

I guess that they changed the number of acceptances. When I went to the open house with my daughter they told us that they were only accepting 120 regular ed and 30 special ed children.

I am expecting a few more than they said during the open house. I am not sure why either, but this year they are taking more. Maybe it is because the had 1800 applications.

We didn't get anything yet either. Including us 4 children didn't get anything from our school and 2 received rejection letters.

I'm wondering how they do it. Do all the kids who got rejection letters go to the same school?

Kathy, I assume nobody you know of got acceptance letters yet, right? If so, then I really hope County Prep gets these sent out before the summer break, it would really sting if I receive the letter in July, when my child already began to do the summer homework for his other school.

I do know of one girl who got accepted but that was a couple of months ago. Any one else either they didn't get anything yet or they got rejected. I'm still waiting. If I don't hear anything by mid next week I'm calling the school again. Have you called county prep. It could be that your sons letter got lost in the mail. I know of a girl that that happened to last year and she was accepted and didn't know until last July. If I was you I would call to get the status of your sons application.

Just found out that it was 3 from our school who received rejection letters. 1 who was accepted but is going to Holy Family. Another mom called county prep and told them that she was no longer interested in county prep. She didn't receive anything but wanted to take her application out because she is going to Bayonne. 2 of us including myself who are still waiting to see if our children got accepted.

Keep calling and keep up the pressure. Unfortunately, you may be wait listed. That is better than being rejected, but it very aggravating due to the longer period over the summer. You are doing exactly the right thing by staying in touch. If the other parent doesn't do what you are doing then the edge goes to you in case of a tie.
