My son informed me that County Prep acceptances have been sent. I know of at least four that have been accepted. Three of them were accepted to High Tech also. Anyone know of any others?

Looks like Uniforms aren't needed at all.

Your child never wore one and got into ALL the highly coveted high schools for G&T.

  • Uniforms haven't improved the grades at the high school.
  • Uniforms didn't prevent intruders at the high school that attacked a school official
  • Unforms haven't created the sense of community.....I've seen at least 3 fights myself among the uniformed youth.
  • Uniforms hide the gang activity..........AND THERE IS GANG ACTIVITY at the high school according to some students.
  • Uniforms haven't prevented the donning of inappropriately short, tight or revealing attire....its just color coordinated.
  • Uniforms have increased herd mentality....leaving our children more vulnerable to gangs.
  • Uniforms have lined someone's pocket at the parent's pocketbooks expense.
  • Uniforms haven't addressed the suspected nepotism in the BOE....

Uniform HAVE increased public awareness of EXACTLY how badly our school district is managed....

From past experience County Prep sends out their acceptances in sperts. If your child applied and did not get an acceptance letter as of yet, it does not mean that they were not accepted. County Prep will send out a letter also if you were not accepted. So be patient. The process is of acceptance letters is probably not over yet.

I was informed that County Prep still has more acceptance letters to send out. This could take up to the middle of April. If your child is not accepted they will also get a letter stating that they were not accepted.

I was also told by the school itself that there are 1600 applications for between 150-160 seats. We called and declined the acceptance because we accepted High Tech. I do not want another family waiting any longer than necessary for their child's acceptance. I was also told by a friend that the process is done in three rounds. So hang tight those families that did not get in yet. Good luck.

I hope that everyone who decides that they are no longer interested in going to county prep calls the school to decline. Do you know when the orientation was going to take place? It would of been enclosed with your sons acceptance.

The son of the principal of county prep, Ms Mandolla was in a bad car accident. He is in the intensive care unit with severe head trauma. Our prayers go out to him and his family.

I have been informed that the CP principle is away from work. Does the explain the delay? My family still hasn't received any letter yet.

EDIT: And also, if you're child did not show up for the orientation, their spot was put in for someone else. There is no need to call in.

We are also waiting for a reply. From what I understand everything is on hold until the principal returns to school. I know it is late in the year, but due to the fact that the principals son passed away, everyone needs to be patient and understanding.
